Central air conditioning water cooling unit is a large air conditioning system component using water as a cold and heat exchange medium, mainly used in commercial buildings, hospitals, factories, office buildings, hotels and other places requiring large area temperature control. The working principle of this type of unit is to generate cold water or hot water through the outdoor host, and then with the circulation of the pump to transport these cold/hot water to the indoor end equipment (such as fan coil, air treatment unit, etc.), in the end equipment, cold/hot water and indoor air heat exchange, so as to achieve the indoor environment of cooling or heating.
The main reasons for freezing crack of copper pipe of central air conditioning chiller:
1, operation error and pressure control system failure: the operator's error may lead to improper setting of system parameters, such as the evaporation pressure is too low and not adjusted in time or the pressure controller failure fails to automatically shut down when the pressure is abnormal, which will lead to the temperature in the evaporator is too low, which may freeze the frozen water, cause physical damage to the copper pipe, and eventually lead to freezing.
2, copper tube material or manufacturing defects: if the evaporator copper tube itself has quality problems, such as insufficient material purity, manufacturing process defects, etc., these may reduce the pressure bearing capacity and corrosion resistance of the copper tube, so that the copper tube gradually weakens in long-term operation, and finally breaks due to unable to withstand normal working pressure or slight frost swelling stress.
3, the evaporation pressure is too low and too cold phenomenon: when the evaporation pressure of the evaporator is too low, it means that the evaporation temperature is far lower than the design value, which will lead to excessive cooling and even freezing of frozen water. The volume of ice is greater than that of water, which will form an expansive force inside the copper pipe and directly act on the wall of the copper pipe, causing physical damage, and in serious cases, it will lead to freezing and cracking of the copper pipe.
4, insufficient maintenance and protection mechanism failure: regular maintenance is essential to ensure the normal operation of the chiller. Lack of proper maintenance will cause the surface of the heat exchanger to accumulate dirt, affect the heat exchange efficiency, resulting in local supercooling. At the same time, if the safety control system such as freezing point protection and pressure protection fails to start in time due to failure or improper calibration, it will not be able to automatically stop the operation of the unit before the occurrence of dangerous situations, which may lead to copper pipe freezing cracking accidents from a single point to a large area.
